Narcan Fails To Revive Heroin Overdose Victim
The 37-year-old man died of a heroin overdose in Oakland County.

HIGHLAND TOWNSHIP, MI — Narcan was not enough to save a Highland Township man who suffered a heroin overdose, according to a press release.
Oakland County Sheriff's Office Deputies were dispatched to a home in the 2700 Block of Fishermans St. on Jan. 2 at 3:54 p.m. Arriving Deputies discovered an unconscious man lying on the floor in the bathroom and it appeared that he wasn't breathing. Family members at the residence revealed the man has a history of heroin abuse and Deputies recovered drug paraphernalia and suspected heroin at the scene.
A Deputy administered a dose of Narcan to the man, which had no effect. Star EMS paramedics arrived yet they were unable to revive the man, who was pronounced dead by an attending physician at McLaren Oakland Hospital.
