Oakland County Taproom Closes Down After 5 Years

An Oakland County brewery permanently shut down over the weekend after five years.

AUBURN HILLS, MI — An Oakland County brewery permanently shut down over the weekend after five years.

Blue Skies Brewery, which was located along Auburn Road in Auburn Hills, closed down Saturday.

"To our amazing staff – your creativity, hard work, and dedication made this space truly special," the business wrote in a social media post. "To our loyal patrons – thank you for your unwavering support, for every visit, every shared laugh, and every toast. This is now goodbye!"

The business did not cite a specific reason for closing, but said its other locations in Jackson and Irish Hills will stay open.

Although the Auburn Hills location shut down, fans of the taproom can still find the brewery's wines at the Michigan By The Bottle Tasting Room, which is along Auburn Road.
