Rally Against Trump's Budget Held In Rochester
On Monday, a rally was held in Rochester to protest the president's proposed budget and immigration policies.
ROCHESTER, MI — Demonstrations against President Donald Trump and his administration are continuing in Rochester. On Monday, members of North Oakland Indivisible rallied at the Rochester office of U.S. Sen. Gary Peters to protest the president’s proposed budget and immigration policies.
It’s at least the third rally in Rochester since January. About 40 people rallied Monday and met with a Peters’ representative, according to an Oakland Press report. The group then marched around the block where they presented a box of 150 pages of signatures asking Congress to reject Trump’s proposed budget, the newspaper reported.
The rally was part of a national day of events through United We Dream.

Previous rallies were held against President Trump’s cabinet picks and his immigration policies. North Oakland Indivisible promises to keep working at its goals through a variety of methods, including letters, emails, and phone calls to members of Congress, as well as “presence at town hall meetings, and with the public through social media, and local print and radio/TV contacts,” the group’s website says.
The organization maintains a Facebook page, too, and posted about Monday's rally:
