Rochester Author Talks Success At Rochester Hills Public Library
Chandlar is a 2019 Agatha Award-nominee and national best-selling author of historical fiction novels that take place in 1930s.

ROCHESTER HILLS, MI —The Rochester Hills Public Library will welcome author Laurie (L.A.) Chandlar to discuss her “Art Deco Mystery Series” novels. It will happen at 7 p.m. Jan. 23 in the library’s Multipurpose Room.
Chandlar is a 2019 Agatha Award-nominee and national best-selling author of historical fiction novels that take place in 1930s New York, Detroit, and London. Her debut novel, The Silver Gun – book one in the Art Deco Mystery Series, was published in 2017. Other books include The Gold Pawn and The Pearl Dagger.
A native of Rochester, Chandlar studied English Literature and Public Relations at the University of Michigan, worked for General Motors, and at the age of 24, moved on to a creative venture with a nonprofit company and traveled with her husband’s national touring band as a manager and PR agent.
