Rochester Bike Shop Offers Bicycle-Buying Tips

Spring weather is finally upon us and soon we'll be exploring town on foot or on our bicycles. 

Don't have a bike? Rich Armaly and the staff at Rochester Bike Shop might be able to help cyclists find the right fit. 

Armaly, a salesperson at the store, says to look for chromoly steel or aluminum, which are both lightweight. Chromoly steel, Armaly said, shares a lot of the same characteristics as titanium and is bendable.

Finding the right size of bike frame is crucial, too, Armaly said. With pedals too close or far from the seat, it can disrupt the riding experience, he said.
