Rochester Hills Creates Diversity & Inclusion Committee

Here's how you can help guide the future of inclusion in the city.

ROCHESTER HILLS, MI — Rochester Hills is launching a new initiative to promote a more inclusive environment and applications are being accepted from residents who want to get involved and make a difference in the community.

Mayor Bryan K. Barnett announced his plans to implement an Advisory Committee on Diversity & Inclusion at a recent city council meeting. This committee will advise the mayor on inclusion strategies that will continue to strengthen connections among diverse communities in the city.

Over the past few decades, Rochester Hills has grown into the 12th largest city in the State of Michigan, creating a diverse community for residents to live, work, and play, according to city officials. The city is home to the largest Albanian Catholic church in the country, the second largest mosque in the state, and the third largest Asian population in Michigan.
