“Our students are inspired to perform and to help hungry children in our community and we’re asking that any food donations be brought to their multicultural holiday concert, or be dropped off at the school” said Joanne Shango, Head of School, at The Montessori School Rochester. “It’s an opportunity for everyone to come together, help feed families and celebrate the season.”

Shango was the multicultural event coordinator that created an international performance at The Detroit Opera House for Detroit’s Super Bowl XL held back in 2006, and she is spearheading the student performances in her school’s multicultural concert which makes up an international student body of various ethnicities from throughout Oakland, Macomb and Wayne County.
