Rochester Will Elect 4 For City Council

A total of six candidates are vying for four open seats on Rochester's city council.

ROCHESTER — When the polls open Nov. 7, voters will be making a decision on four city council seats and will select from six candidates. Every community has its political quirks and, in Rochester, it’s that the top three vote-getters get full four-year terms while the fourth gets a two-year term.

Incumbents Ann Peterson and Stuart Bikson are on the ballot. Newcomers Dean Bevacqua, Tammy Byers, Lynn Campo and Nancy L. Salvia are vying for the two remaining seats.

  • Polls Open - 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
  • Where to vote
    • Precincts 1 and 3 are located at the Rochester Community House at 816 Ludlow.
    • Precincts 2 and 4 are located at St. Paul’s Methodist Church, 620 Romeo Road
    • Precinct 5 is located at the Older Person’s Commission, 650 Leticia Drive
