'Simply Soup Supper' Raises Funds To Fill Bowls on Oct. 10

Simply Soup Supper celebrates 15 years of raising funds to fill bowls of those in need. Proceeds fund local food pantries and soup kitchens.

Simply Soup Supper, an “Empty Bowl” event sponsored by Rochester Kiwanis, celebrates fifteen years of raising funds to fill bowls of those in need.

All proceeds from this event benefits Rochester Area Neighborhood House Food Pantry, OPC’s Meals On Wheels, and Manna Community Meal, a soup kitchen in Detroit directed by Fr. Tom Lumpkin. The soup supper will be held on Friday, Oct. 10 from 5:30-7:00 pm at the OPC at 650 Letica Road, Rochester, MI.

The menu is ”All You Can Eat” soups and breads, donated by 15 of Rochester area’s finest restaurants and bakeries. Key Club and Pride students will be on hand to help serve guests and keep their bowls filled. The soup supper has become a community tradition of coming together to help others while enjoying an evening with friends and family!

Handcrafted “empty bowls” by area artists will be available.
