The Rochester community is rallying around one of its own this week as 2008 Stoney Creek graduate and Central Michigan senior Eric Fisher prepares for Thursday's NFL Draft.
According to MLive, the offensive tackle is a consensus top-10 pick in the draft, which begins Thursday at 8 p.m.
ESPN's NFL Draft guru Mel Kiper Jr. projects Fisher to go at No. 7 to the Arizona Cardinals, but AnnArbor.com reports Fisher might fill a crucial need for the Detroit Lions, who draft at No. 5.

Stoney Creek football coach Brad Zube told MLive his players are "pretty excited" about one of their predecessors being in the national spotlight. "From all accounts, he's the nicest kid in the world."
Plans are in place for Stoney Creek alumni and fans to gather Thursday for a draft day watch party at Buffalo Wild Wings, 1234 Walton Road, coinciding with the draft's 8 p.m. start time.
