Suspect Steals Pick-Up Truck Containing Ammo And $2,100 While It Was Left Running In A Driveway
Oakland County Sheriff's Office Deputies say the pick-up truck owner left the vehicle running in a driveway early this morning.

OAKLAND COUNTY, MI — An thief stole a pickup truck left running in a driveway, according to police reports. That's not all, the truck was full of cash and ammunition, according to the police report.
The theft happened in the 900 block of Gibson St. in Oxford Township on Jan 17 at 5:52 a.m. Oakland County Sheriff's Office Deputies arriving at the scene spoke with the victim, an Oxford Township man, who said his 2016 Dodge Ram four door dual-wheel pickup truck - which contained $2,100 in cash locked in a cash box and a large quantity of ammunition in the truck bed - was running in his driveway when an unknown suspect drove off in it. The victim had started the truck using the key fob and the keys were not left in the ignition.
Deputies found the truck abandoned and running approximately two miles from the home. The truck had minor damage to the lower body and the cash box was swiped but the ammunition was recovered.

An OCSO K-9 Unit established a track that led Deputies to a nearby road, before losing the scent. The truck was impounded and Detectives will process it for evidence.
The case is under investigation.
