The 6,000-square-foot restaurant will feature more than 60 craft beers, which is believed is more beers on tap than any other bar or restaurant in Oakland County, The Oakland Press reports.
Most of the brews come from the state in support of the burgeoning craft beer industry in Michigan, which ranked fifth nationally in breweries and brew pubs in 2014. The craft beer industry is a source of pride for the state and consumers loyal to the local beer, wine and spirits labels, co-owner Missy Markevics said.

“Four years ago, I fell in love with the craft beer experience and the wonderful people bringing it to life,” she said in a press release.
Some of the featured brews at Rochester Tap Room will come from close to home, like Rochester Mills, as well as Birmingham’s Griffin Claw. More than 100 boutique wines will be offered in the tap room.
The kitchen is in the hands of former Matt Prentice Restaurant Group executive chef Travis Waynick, who has crafted a menu “high on imaginative flavors and fresh ingredients,” according to the press release. Some of the menu choices include maple glazed duck breast, coconut chicken and waffles as well as “creative” burgers and sliders, pizza and flatbreads, smoked meats and bacon-themed desserts.
