Teen Pleads Guilty In Fatal Shooting Of Oakland County Deputy
Oakland County Deputy Sheriff Brad Reckling was fatally shot while working undercover in Detroit last summer, according to police.
OAKLAND COUNTY, MI — A teenager involved with the killing of an Oakland County deputy last summer pleaded guilty Monday, according to prosecutors.
Karim Moore, 18, of Clinton Township, pleaded guilty to conducting a criminal enterprise, receiving and concealing stolen property-motor vehicle and felony firearm in the death of Deputy Sheriff Brad Reckling, who was shot and killed on Detroit's east side last June.
Moore's plea deal removed the possibility of a life sentence in prison, which is the maximum penalty in Michigan for the charge of conducting a criminal enterprise in a case that's related to a death.
