Tim Hortons Opens Doors, Drive-Thru in Rochester Hills

Iced Cappuccinos and Timbits have arrived in Rochester Hills.

Tim Hortons, the Canadian coffee and food chain, opened its doors April 18 at 940 S. Rochester Road in Rochester Hills. 

On the location's fifth day in operation Monday, franchise owner Ravinder Saini says so far, so good for Tim Hortons' Rochester-area debut.

"The response has just been tremendous," Saini said. "Saturday and Sunday we were bombarded at the drive-thru." 

This is the first Tim Hortons franchise for Saini, a former auto worker from Rochester.

The location will celebrate its opening 11 a.m. Friday with a ribbon-cutting celebration with Rochester Hills Mayor Bryan Barnett and Rochester Mayor Stuart Bikson in attendance, along with other local officials. The public is invited, Saini said, and prizes will be awarded to those in attendance.
