Watch Them As They Hustle for Their Hometown School
More than 700 kids and adults ran a 5K through Rochester on Saturday morning to raise money for the Rochester Community Schools Foundation. Share your photos with Patch!
The season of 5K races in Rochester and Rochester Hills began Saturday morning as more than 700 runners and walkers participated in the Hometown Hustle.
The annual event is a fundraiser for the Rochester Community Schools Foundation; it raised about $15,000, said Superintendent Fred Clarke, who thanked the crowd before the race.
The 5K took participants through downtown Rochester and along the Paint Creek and Clinton River trails. It began and ended at the school administration building on University Drive.Â

Tim Rowland of Rochester, 25, won the race with a time of 17:29:1. Here is a link to the race results.
