Women Dead, 2 Hurt In Oakland County Crash: Sheriff
Investigators do not know yet if alcohol played a role in the crash, as autopsy results pending.
SPRINGFIELD TOWNSHIP, MI — A woman died and two other people were injured in an Oakland County crash Wednesday night, according to the Oakland County Sheriff's Office.
The crash happened at 9:30 p.m. on Holly Road at the Dixie Highway in Springfield Township, according to the sheriff's office.
Police said 34-year-old Renee Vilders was driving a 2023 Chevrolet Equinox east on Holly Road where she failed to stop at the stop sign for Dixie Highway and struck a 2023 GMC Sierra pickup truck.

Both vehicles ended up off the road and into some trees, according to the sheriff's office.

Vilders was killed in the crash, according to the sheriff's office.
The driver of the pickup truck, a 64-year-old Groveland Township man, and his 61-year-old passenger, were taken to a nearby hospital where they were both listed in stable condition, according to the sheriff's office.
Investigators do not know yet if alcohol played a role in the crash, as autopsy results pending. They did say everyone involved in the crash were wearing their seatbelts.
Officials were still investigating the crash.
