Work Under Way for This Week's Leader Dog Carnival

A towering ferris wheel can be spotted along Rochester Road as crews prepare carnival rides at the Kmart parking lot for Thursday's opening of the 2013 Leader Dog Carnival.

Crews were at work Tuesday afternoon assembling rides and the carnival midway for the annual event, which runs May 2-12 and benefits Rochester Hills' Leader Dogs for the Blind and other sight-related causes.

The carnival is organized by the Rochester Hills Lions Club.
