Your Guide to This Weekend's Art & Apples Festival
It opens today inside Rochester Municipal Park. Here's everything you need to know.

This weekend, artwork and crafts — and don't forget the pies — will transform into one of the biggest fall events in Oakland County.
It's the 47th annual Art & Apples Festival, presented by the , and it opens at 4 p.m. today. It's Michigan's second-largest fine arts fair and it's in its 47th year in Rochester.

The basics
- When: Festival hours are 4 to 7:30 p.m. Friday, 9 to 7:30 p.m. Saturday and 9 to 4 p.m. Sunday.
- Where:
- Admission: There is a suggested $5 donation at the festival entrance to support the Paint Creek Center for the Arts.
- Parking: There is limited parking on side streets around Rochester; all downtown Rochester lots are free. Handicapped parking is allowed in the park lot off Pine Street.
- Shuttle:A shuttle will operate from the festival to and from Rochester High School during festival hours on Saturday and Sunday. The shuttle is $3.
- Leave the dog at home: There are no dogs allowed in the park during the event.
Art, food and music
- The artists: More than 290 artists will be on site with everything from jewelry to photography to glass. Here's a guide to the booths. And
- The entertainment: Two stages will feature musical performances throughout the festival. .
- Food and drink: You'll purchase tickets to buy food at any of more than two dozen vendors inside the park. One ticket = one dollar. .
Apple pies
- Boy Scout Troop 125 will be selling home-baked pies Saturday and Sunday near the entrance at the duck pond off Pine Street. Pies are $15. .
