Metro Detroit Hazardous Weather Outlook: Wind Chills Below Zero

A Hazardous Weather Outlook has been issued ahead of a cold front that will deposit snow and drop wind chills below zero this week.

MICHIGAN — The next cold front is blowing through Southeastern Michigan and it will deposit several inches of snow in the region and drop temperatures to single digits. The snowfall is expected to start Wednesday night, but not until after rush hour is over. WDIV's meteorologist predicts that the arctic front passing over will drop more accumulation of snow on Thursday.

According to the National Weather Service, temperatures falling into the single numbers to near zero Thursday night will result in wind chills well below zero for Friday morning.

They've issued a Hazardous Weather Outlook for counties across the region, including Wayne, Oakland, Macomb, Washtenaw, Monroe, Genesee, Lapeer and St. Clair.
