5 Things To Do Around Royal Oak This Weekend

1. Listen to the Local Natives, with special guests Wild Nothing, at the Royal Oak Music Theatre Friday. Doors open at 8 p.m. Tickets: $24
2. Laugh with Jackie Flynn at Mark Ridley's Comedy Castle this weekend. Show time is 8 p.m. and 10:30 Friday; 8 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. Saturday. Tickets are $10-$18.
3. Stroll through the streets of downtown Royal Oak from noon to 5 p.m. on Saturday sampling a variety of beer from some of the top breweries in Michigan at the Michigan Craft Beer Stroll. Tickets are $40 in advance or $50 on the day of the event.
4. Pig out at the third annual Royal Oak Chili Cook-Off from 5:30-10 p.m. Saturday at the Royal Oak Farmers Market. Tickets to the event cost $7.50 in advance or $10 at the door. Children under 12 get in for free. Adult admission includes five chili-tasting tickets.
5. Add to your collection of perennials at the Fall Perennial Plant Exchange. Just bring your plants to the Mahany/Meininger Senior Community Center from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday.
