Concerts, Unique Tours and More at Meadow Brook Hall

Enjoy outdoor concerts, yoga in a scenic setting, and unique tours at the Historic Hall and Gardens

There is so much to experience at Meadow Brook Hall this summer with a series of lively events and tours.

The season will simmer when the Romanian all-female classical rock ensemble Amadeus takes the stage at Meadow Brook—for the first time in the U.S.! The full event lineup also includes a Champagne Garden Tea, Yoga in the Garden, a Concert Series featuring popular Metro Detroit musicians and a vibrant collection of tours, all at the National Historic Landmark, located on the campus of Oakland University in Rochester.

Experience the electrifying U.S. debut of the all-female quartet Amadeus at Meadow Brook Hall. Amadeus is one of the most appreciated electric quartets worldwide and in Romania, and is considered the uncontested leader of crossover music style.

The all-female ensemble has performed all over the world, released six records and garnered an incredible fan base on YouTube – with more than 175 million hits on their official channel. This musical evening includes a cash bar, fun snacks, self-guided touring of the historic mansion during the talent break. The show is set for 7-9:30 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 4. Tickets are $35 each and available at meadowbrookhall.org/amadeus.

Pop the bubbly! The Champagne Garden Tea is a delicious afternoon filled with sweets, savories and tableside tea service—and the opportunity to add-on two servings of either champagne or a signature craft cocktail. The event features a harpist and an interactive self-guided tour of the historic mansion, playhouses and our incredible gardens at their peak beauty. The Champagne Garden Tea is set for 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sunday, June 26. Tickets are $65 each or $75 with the champagne or cocktail add-on. Enjoy a breath of fresh air and find flexibility with Yoga in the Garden, taught by registered yoga teacher, Shannon Kraegel. Classes are located in Meadow Brook’s rock garden at 9 a.m. on five Sundays this summer; June 26, July 17, July 24, Aug. 7 and Aug. 14. All levels are welcome. Guests must bring their own yoga mat and water bottle. Tickets are $15 a person. To learn more or register for Yoga in the Garden, visit meadowbrookhall.org/yoga.

Take in a night of live music and vibrant atmosphere with the Concert Series at the Great Estate. All four events take place in the Garden tent and feature a full cash bar and fun snacks. Concerts will run from 7-9:30 p.m. and guests are invited to come early and bring a picnic to enjoy on the grounds before the show. The musical lineup includes Ben Sharkey on June 23, Kimmie Horne on July 14, Dave Bennett on July 28 and Collision Six on Aug. 11. Tickets are $35 per person per concert and available now at meadowbrookhall.org/concertseries.

Touring is in season all summer long! Meadow Brook will offer a great collection of guided and self-guided tours from Fridays through Mondays, including:

  • Self-Guided House Tour allows visitors to explore all three levels of the house at their own pace with insight from a new visitor app.
  • Guided House Tour takes visitors on a journey through the main living levels of the historic mansion with a knowledgeable docent guide.
  • Guided Behind-The-Scenes tour takes visitors on a journey to rarely-seen areas of Meadow Brook, including staff wings, bathrooms, closets, playrooms and more.
  • Guided Gardens & Grounds Tour introduces visitors to Meadow Brook’s vast estate with 16 distinct gardens and remarkable architecture.

Starting Friday, June 3, all tours will include self-guided touring access to two of the playhouses on the estate grounds—Danny’s Cabin and Knole Cottage, which is known as the “world’s finest dollhouse.” Dates, availability and ticket prices vary.
