Detroit Zoo Holiday Light Show 2016

ROYAL OAK, MI — The Detroit Zoo is about to get lit up. The wildly popular "Wild Lights" holiday light event kicks off at the Detroit Zoo on Nov. 18.

Five million sparkling LED lights will give a glow to zoo trails. And it's more than just a wild light show. Even Santa will be there to wish you a "Merry Christmas" and snap a photo with you (until Dec. 23). Also, enjoy carousel rides, figure skating and check out the Wildlife Photographer of the Year exhibition. And holiday movie-lovers, don't miss “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer 4-D” and “Polar Express 4-D” at the Wild Adventure Zone’s 4-D Theater ($5 with admission).

Wild Lights schedule: Nov. 18-20 and 25-27; Dec. 1-4, 8-11, 15-23 and 26-31, 2016 from 5:30 - 9:p.m.

Admission: $10 in advance online and at Kroger stores and $13 at the gate. Children under 2 are admitted free. Parking: $6.
