Man, 83, Stabbed To Death In Oakland County: Police

A woman has been arrested in connection with the fatal stabbing, according to police.

ROYAL OAK, MI — An 83-year-old man is dead and a woman has been arrested after a stabbing in Oakland County last Friday, according to police.

Officers were called to a home in the 4300 block of Sheridan Drive in Royal Oak at 9:30 p.m. on a report of a man calling for help, according to police.

They found a 35-year-old woman "with blood on her hands" in the area and arrested her after a brief foot chase, according to police.

When they entered the home, officers found the 83-year-old man dead from multiple stab wounds in the home's basement, according to police.

Police said the man and woman knew each other. The woman was also a guest in the home, according to police.

The woman was placed in jail as charges were pending from the Oakland County Prosecutor's Office.
