Man Pulls Knife on Cashier in Robbery Attempt and More

Highlights from Royal Oak Police Department reports from the past week:
Man Pulls Knife on Cashier
1740 Crooks (Citgo Gas Station), April 13: Royal Oak police officers responded to an attempted armed robbery. A cashier reported a man entered the gas station, produced a knife and demanded money. The cashier was unable to open the register.
The man did not get any money or merchandise and fled the area on foot. The man was described as approximately 30 years old, with light-brown hair and a mustache, wearing a gray sweat suit.

GPS, iPhone, briefcase and more taken from cars
4200 block of Tonawanda, April 7: A woman reported someone stole a section of trim off her vehicle.
Troy & Eleven Mile, April 8: A man reported someone stole a bag containing miscellaneous paperwork out of his vehicle.

200 block of Amelia, April 8: A man reported someone stole a Garmin GPS unit and a cell phone out of his vehicle.
200 block of Woodside, April 8: A man reported someone stole his briefcase out of his vehicle.
2500 block of N. Wilson, April 10: A man reported someone stole a Garmin GPS unit and an iPod out of his vehicle.
26000 block of Woodward, April 10: A woman reported someone stole the in-dash navigation system out of her Black 2010 Chrysler 300.
2500 block of N. Wilson, April 10: A man reported someone stole a Garmin GPS unit out of his vehicle.
1400 block of Donald, April 6: A man reported someone stole a Cannon 60D digital camera out of his vehicle. 9419
1400 block of Donald, April 6: A woman reported someone stole a Garmin GPS unit out of her vehicle.
3601 W. 13 Mile (Beaumont Hospital), April 4: A woman reported someone stole the in-dash GPS unit out of her White 2012 Chrysler Town & Country.
Cars stolen
1100 block of Ottawa, April 6: A man reported someone stole his Silver 2007 Chevrolet Trailblazer.
4200 block of Crooks, April 10: A woman reported someone stole her Red 2000 Honda Civic.
iPhones, wallet, handgun and more stolen
1016 W. 11 Mile (YMCA), April 7: A man reported someone stole an iPhone out of his gym bag.
208 W. Fifth (Woody’s), April 6: A woman reported someone stole her wallet and cell phone while she was at the business.
25352 Woodward (L.A. Fitness), April 9: A man reported someone stole his gym bag containing his wallet, two iPhones and gym clothes.
3601 W. 13 Mile (Beaumont), April 9: An employee of the hospital reported someone stole her purse out of an office.
117 W. Third Street (Hour Detroit Magazine), April 10: A man reported someone stole a Canon digital camera out of an office.
3000 block of W. 13 Mile: A man reported a relative stole his wallet, an undisclosed amount of currency and a handgun. The man recovered the stolen handgun.
Malicious destruction of property
1500 block of Ottawa, April 6: A man reported someone broke out the rear passenger window of his vehicle.
