Multiple Royal Oak Cars Hit By Airbag Thieves: Police
All the vehicles were Chevrolet Malibus, three of which had the driver's side window was smashed out, according to police.
ROYAL OAK, MI — Thieves smashed into multiple cars in Royal Oak last week and took the steering wheel, according to police.
The thefts happened between 8:15 and 10:45 a.m. last Wednesday, March 20, in the 29000 block of Woodward, the 100 block of Tiffany, the 4300 block of Tonawanda. and the 100 block of Allenhurst, according to police.
All the vehicles were Chevrolet Malibus, three of which had the driver's side window was smashed out, according to police.

The thieves target steering wheels to the airbags, which they then resale illegally, according to police.
Police were still looking for any witnesses or surveillance video near any of the theft locations.
