Royal Oak Elementary School Has A New Principal

ROYAL OAK, MI — Royal Oak schools hired Timothy Boyer as the new principal at Addams Elementary School.

Boyer fills the vacancy left by Dr. Joe Youanes, who left for his new role of Executive Director of Curriculum and Instruction for the district.

Boyer taught fourth and fifth grade for Upton Elementary for seven years and was named Elementary Teacher of the Year for Royal Oak Schools in 2020.

"I am excited for the opportunity to join an amazing staff and a supportive community that believes in supporting the whole student," Boyer said. "I look forward to working with the passionate Addams staff and families to support our students and build relationships with students and families anchored in the belief that the best learning experiences and success comes from a collective effort."
