Royal Oak Middle School Welcomes New Assistant Principal

Royal Oak Schools announced Angela Mallory​​ will serve as the new seventh-grade assistant principal​ at Royal Oak Middle School.

ROYAL OAK, MI — Royal Oak Schools announced Angela Mallory will serve as the new seventh-grade assistant principal at Royal Oak Middle School.

Mallory will work closely with Royal Oak Middle School Counselor Carrie Laurence and Secretary Angela Almas, to ensure that students receive the highest level of support and guidance throughout the school year, according to school officials.

"We are confident that Angela’s enthusiasm and dedication will have a positive impact on our students, staff, and families," Royal Oak Middle School Principal Kristin Meldrum said. "She is eager to get started and is looking forward to working with all of you to continue making Royal Oak Middle School an exceptional place for learning and growth."

Mallory previously served as the district’s International Baccalaureate (IB) Coordinator, in which she played a crucial role in shaping and guiding the IB program, according to school officials.

In appointing Mallory to the new position, officials looked at her experience as an assistant principal in other school districts. Officials said she worked closely with students and placed a strong emphasis on building meaningful relationships.

Mallory is also the parent of an eight-grader and has a special connection to Royal Oak Middle School, according to school officials.

"Her personal ties to the school community, coupled with her extensive expertise, make her an ideal fit for this important role," school officials said in a statement.
