Royal Oak Schools Announces New Board Of Education Leadership for 2025

ROYAL OAK, MI — Royal Oak Schools announced Tuesday morning its newly elected Board of Education.

The 2025 Board of Education leadership includes:

• President: Tim Ciechorski
• Vice-President: Erika Alexander
• Secretary: Deborah Anderson
• Treasurer: Michelle Cook
• Trustee: Maryanne VanHaitsma
• Trustee: Matt Wickey
• Trustee: Lauren Jasinski

The officers and trustees will guide the district in its ongoing mission to provide an inclusive, diverse, and student-first environment for learning.

"The Board of Education plays a critical role in shaping the future of our schools and ensuring our district remains a safe, supportive, and innovative environment for all students," Royal Oak Schools Superintendent Mary Beth Fitzpatrick said.
