The Shades of Pink Foundation, a 501c3 public charity, was founded in 2005 by Suzanne Krueger and Dr. Pamela R. Benitez, a breast surgeon at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak and Vice President and Medical Director of the Foundation.  Since its inception, the Shades of Pink Foundation has assisted hundreds of women and their families by helping to ease the financial difficulties they face after a breast cancer diagnosis. The foundation is run entirely by volunteers and helps women living in Wayne, Oakland and Macomb counties.

“Whether it’s helping with a mortgage payment, the grocery bills, transportation or a COBRA payment, Shades of Pink Foundation is committed to easing the financial burden of a breast cancer diagnosis and has never turned down a woman with a reasonable request,” said Benitez.
