Tire, Rim Theft Ring Suspects Chased Through Royal Oak

State Police chased a pair of suspects in a tire and rim theft ring from Royal Oak to Southfield late Monday.

ROYAL OAK, MI — State police arrested two men after a chase from Royal Oak into Southfield late Monday. The men, who are suspects in a tire and rim theft ring, crashed at Nine Mile and Greenfield roads. Their vehicle flipped causing both to sustain injuries that put them in in temporary serious condition at a local hospital, according to a Royal Oak Tribune report.

“State Police Lt. Mike Shaw said in a release the incident started about 9 p.m. Monday in Royal Oak in the area of Lincoln Avenue and Campbell Road.”
“State police got information from the Western Wayne Community Response Team, an undercover state police task force, Monday night that the suspects may have been involved in numerous tire and rim thefts for the past two years.”
