Screening of Film Leads to a Closer Look at Student Stress
The screening of Race to Nowhere and the discussion that followed continues to resonate at Saline Area Schools. More than 350 people attended a screening of the film, which takes a look at the pressures faced by students and teachers in public education. Patch bloggers and have shared their thoughts on movie's theme. On his blog, Saline Area Schools Superintendent Scot Graden said the district plans to show the film to all Saline High School teachers on Dec. 2, saying "It is vital that we keep the conversation going about the mental health of our students." Saline High School Principal Ben Williams shared his thoughts on his blog after viewing the film and moderating the discussion.
