Saline coach Debbie Williams-Hoak said it was disappointing to lose a big match on the Hornets' home course.

"I know the team worked hard and tried their best, but it's still disappointing. We shouldn't lose on this course with the talent we have on this team," said Williams-Hoak.

The fifth hole, with the narrow fairway bounded by marsh on one side and woods on the other, inflicted damage on the Hornets. Only one Saline golfer drove the fairway on the hole.

Williams-Hoak said the team needs to shake off the loss and focus on winning the SEC championship next Wednesday.

"We can take care of business there and win the SEC," she said.
