Science students thrive in new, expansive Saline STEAM center (mlive.com) — Saline students now have a spacious new STEAM center, funded by a 2022 voter-approved bond, giving robotics and Science Olympiad teams dedicated labs, storage, and practice areas. The facility replaces cramped, makeshift spaces and supports hands-on engineering, coding, and science projects for hundreds of students, while also offering flexible areas for teachers and community use.
   

• Michigan State to hire Alabama's Nick Sheridan as next OC (freep.com subscription) — A Saline native, Nick Sheridan, is set to become Michigan State’s new offensive coordinator after helping run Alabama’s high-powered offense this season. Sheridan, a former Michigan quarterback and current Crimson Tide co-OC, will join new Spartans coach Pat Fitzgerald once Alabama’s College Football Playoff run concludes.
   

• Christina Burkhart joins Local 4 News as newest meteorologist (clickondetroit.com) — A familiar face with Saline roots is joining Local 4 as its newest meteorologist. Christina Burkhart, who grew up in Saline and still has family here, returns to Southeast Michigan after years forecasting in Traverse City and Flint, bringing award-winning experience and a passion for clear, trustworthy weather communication.
