“I am so happy for Jackson Lambert. He was sick at Districts and that carried through until Tuesday of this week. So for him to go out and shoot a 69 is outstanding,” said Williams-Hoak.
Caleb Wittig came in with a 73 to tie for sixth. Ryan Peruski and Ian Martin came in with scores of 78 and DJ Aben shot 84.
Now the Hornets turn their attention to the state finals.
“We are looking forward to going to states and we are going there with the intent to place high and on any given day in the game of golf, you never know what might happen,” said Williams-Hoak.
The Division 1 tournament takes place June 15-16 at the The Meadows at Grand Valley State University.
The honors continue to pile up for Williams-Hoak, who was named District Coach of the Year last week.
