Saline Volleyball Team Closes Regular Season With Victories at Home
Saline defeated Brighton and Skyline and now prepares for the district.
The Saline Hornets go into district action on a winning note, after defeating Brigton and Skyline at home Thursday.
defeated Brighton, 25-18 and 26-24, and Skyline, 25-11 and 25-14.
The match was scheduled as a quad but the team from Berkley cancelled at the last minute.

The Lady Hornets were led by Mackenzie Shand with 11 kills and 7 blocks. Marissa Owen had 38 assists and six blocks. Ani Agbabian had 10 kills and 12 digs. Natalie Sheridan led the team with 24 digs. Jess Wolma (8 kills), Jessi Markey (7 kills) and Mackenzie Schumborg (7 kills) also contributed to the offensive attack.
"For our last regular season match, we did what we wanted to do. I was watching closely to see if we would play both sides of the ball tonight and to see how we would compete," said head coach Lisa Shea. "At the end of the night, I was very happy with all phases of our play, and I think we are ready for districts next week."

Saline opens its post season Tuesday against Milan in the Bedford District. The match begins at 5:30 p.m. The winner plays Bedford at 5:30 p.m. Nov. 3.
