VIDEOSTORY: Principal Pleasant After Sliming

Students at Pleasant Ridge Elementary School took turns "sliming" their principal and custodian last week.

As a reward for raising nearly $10,000 for improvements at Pleasant Ridge Elementary School, students were given the opportunity to "slime" principal Brad Bezeau and custodian Tracy Pratt last week.

In a related campaign, the school is urging residents to vote early and often in the Clorox company's "Power a Bright Future" grant contest. The district hopes to win $25,000 or $50,000 that will be used to take care of drainage issues ehind the school. That area would then be used for playground equipment for special needs students and the school's youngest learners. The existing playground was designed for first to fourth grade students and does not have a set of swings.

The school is asking people to log on to the website and vote every day until voting concludes Dec. 9.
