York Township Residents Warned to Keep Homes, Vehicles Locked
Thieves are stealing items from vehicles, according to the Washtenaw County Sheriff.

York Township residents are being advised to keep vehicles and homes locked after several reported thefts.
"We have had several reports of items taken from unlocked vehicles. Recently, even batteries have been taken from the engine compartments of unlocked vehicles," said Deputy Keith DeZwaan, who is assigned to York Township as the Washtenaw County Sheriff’s Community Engagement Deputy. "Please keep your home and vehicles secure by closing the windows and locking the doors, especially overnight."
DeZwaan asked residents to be on the lookout for suspicious activity.
