5 Arrested In Robbery Of Macomb County Gas Station: Sheriff
Five people were arrested in connection with a robbery at a Shelby Township gas station Wednesday morning, sheriff's officials said.
SHELBY TOWNSHIP, MI — Five people were arrested in connection with a robbery at a Shelby Township gas station Wednesday morning, according to the Macomb County Sheriff's Office.
Sheriff's officials said three men entered the Mobile gas station at 21 Mile and Hayes roads at 3:07 a.m. Wednesday and began walking through the store's isles.
Moments later, the group approached the clerk and demanded him to "get in the back," according to sheriff's officials.

The clerk, who believed the men had a weapon, left the gas station, according to sheriff's officials.
A short time later, the clerk saw the men leave the store and get into a small white SUV, which moved east on 21 Mile Road, according to sheriff's officials.

Officials said the men took more than 85 Breeze vapes, Black and Mild Swisher Select cigars and Hostess donuts.
Officials then got a call at 3:29 a.m. to perform a welfare check at a home on Chevalier Drive in Westbridge Manor in Macomb Township, according to sheriff's officials.
The caller told officials that his girlfriend couldn’t leave the home, according to sheriff's officials.
The caller also told officers that the suspected thieves from the gas station robbery were inside the home, according to sheriff's officials.
Officers arrived at the mobile home and saw three small white SUVs parked outside the home, according to sheriff's officials.
Officers then went inside the home and found three men, a 33-year-old from Clinton Township, a 20-year-old from Macomb Township, an 18-year-old from Arnold, Missouri and an 18-year-old woman, according to sheriff's officials.
All four were arrested in connection with the armed robbery, according to sheriff's officials.
After further investigation, officers arrested a juvenile individual Wednesday evening, according to sheriff's officials.
The juvenile was placed at the Macomb County Juvenile Justice Center, according to sheriff's officials.
The case was turned over to the Macomb County Prosecutor's Office for charges.
