5 School Dates to Circle on Your Calendar
Kids in Shelby and Utica go back school on Sept. 3. Here are four more dates to know.
The end of summer is approaching, and local schools have posted their 2013-14 calendar. Here are five dates which we think could be particularly important, especially if your family is planning a vacation around school. For the complete district calendar, visit utica2k12.org.
In case your child does not attend Utica Community Schools, see below for links to the calendars of area private schools.
1. Sept. 3: First day of school (elementary students have a half-day)
2. Nov. 27-29: Thanksgiving break
3. Dec. 23-Jan. 2, 2014: Winter break
4. Feb. 17-21: Mid-winter break
5. Apr. 7-11: Spring break
