The Macomb County Board of Commissioners honored three Shelby Township residents last as outstanding volunteers.
More than 60 county residents were recognized during the June 7 Board Meeting.
All the volunteers were nominated from a wide variety of charitable organizations, veterans groups, churches, schools, hospitals, senior citizen facilities, and more. Each
honoree donated at least 150 hours of his/her time to volunteer activities in 2011, and is either a Macomb County resident or performed volunteer work which benefitted Macomb Countyβs citizens and/or communities.

this county. It takes a special kind of person to volunteer,β said Board of Commissioners Chair
