Boy Pulled Unresponsive From Stony Creek Lake In Shelby Twp.: Report

SHELBY TOWNSHIP, MI — A boy was found unresponsive Monday evening after being underwater in Stony Creek Lake for several minutes at Eastwood Beach in Shelby Township, according to a report citing Huron-Clinton Metroparks officials.
Officials performed CPR on the 13-year-old boy at the scene and took him to a nearby hospital, where his condition was unknown Monday night, according to the report.

The incident comes after a 21-year-old Detroit man drowned at Martindale Beach in Kensington Metropark in Milford Township on Saturday, making it the fourth Oakland County drowning in the last three weeks and the tenth so far this year, according to the sheriff's office.
