The Shelby Township Police Department will hold a grand opening of its new Police Building during an open house on June 10 from Noon until 5:00 p.m.
The new Police Building is located in the municipal hall at 52530 Van Dyke in Shelby Township.
Attendees will meet officers and get a tour of the new facility. There will be presentations put on by the Police Honor Guard, Β K-9 unit, Traffic and Motor Carrier unit, as well as the Crime Prevention unit.

There will also be Police Vehicles on display, and the department will be conducting Child Fingerprinting, for those parents who wish to have their child printed.
A special dedication ceremony will be June 8 at 10 a.m.

The building will be dedicated to Shelby Township's first chief of police, Robert W. Smith.
