Power Outage Continues for Some in Shelby Township
Many residents may not get service back until Thursday night, DTE reports.

Some Shelby Township residents are well into their fourth day without electricity following the heavy winds that swept across southeast Michigan Sunday.
Roughly 140 Shelby Township area residents were still without power as of Wednesday afternoon, according to the DTE outage map.
They are among the 76,000 still without power in southeast Michigan. DTE officials said about 90 percent of all the 302,000 customers that lost service after Sunday should have service restored by late Wednesday night.
Many local residents may have to wait longer. Over 130 DTE customers located south of 23 Mile Road in Shelby Township are estimated to be restored late Wednesday night, according to the outage map.
The National Weather Service predicts temperatures to dip to about 36 degrees overnight, with a 40 percent chance of rain.
