In addition to the book sale, the library announced the return of its Letters to Santa program. Children can visit the library's children's area and pen heartfelt letters to Santa Claus. The kids will then place their letters in a special mailbox that will be picked up at 5 p.m. on Dec. 9.

After collecting the letters, the library group will work with the Kiwanis Club of Utica-Shelby Township to ensure that every child who penned a letter will receive a response from Santa Claus.
