Money Stolen During St. Lawrence Catholic Church Break-in

An investigation is underway to determine who broke into a Catholic church and stole cash that was likely from Sunday Mass offerings, Utica police said Wednesday.
The crime took place between Sunday night and early Monday morning at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, Utica Police Chief Dave Faber said.
"Someone got into a back window and broke into the building," Faber said. "They got away with some cash."

The undisclosed amount of cash was taken from safes inside the church office after the robber or robbers broke in through the school section of the building, he said.
No suspects were known but police are exploring all possibilities.
