Woman Hit, Killed By Car In Shelby Township: Report

Police said the driver stopped at the scene and is cooperating with police. Investigators do not believe alcohol played a role in the crash.

SHELBY TOWNSHIP, MI — An elderly woman died Wednesday evening after she was hit by a car in Shelby Township, according to a WWJ News report.

The woman was walking along 25 Mile Road, near Van Dyke Avenue in front of Eisenhower High School around 8 p.m. when she was struck by the vehicle, according to the report.

The woman was taken to Troy Beaumont hospital where she died, police said.
