Woman Killed In Macomb County Head-On Crash On Hayes Rd.: Sheriff
Officials do not believe alcohol played a role in the crash.
SHELBY TOWNSHIP, MI — A 45-year-old Shelby Township woman was killed in a Monday night head-on crash in Macomb County, according to the Macomb County Sheriff's Office.
The crash happened at 7:30 p.m. Monday at the intersection of Hayes Road and Snowbird Drive in Shelby Township, according to the sheriff's office.
Officials said a white Dodge Ram truck was moving on south on Hayes Road near Snowbird Drive where it veered into northbound traffic and slammed head-on with a white Mazda.

The Mazda rolled over multiple times and came to a stop upside-down on the grass along northbound Hayes, according to the sheriff's office.
The driver of the Mazda, a 45-year-old woman from Shelby Township, was killed in the crash, according to the sheriff's office.

The driver of the Dodge Ram, a 17-year-old boy, was taken to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries where he was listed in stable condition, according to the sheriff's office.
