Woman Skips Out on $3,500 Utica Hotel Bill

The Utica police are looking for a woman who stayed at a local hotel for a year and left without checking out.

A Macomb Township woman who stayed at the for more than a year packed up her bags and left the Utica hotel with a nearly $3,500 unpaid bill.

Police said the 52-year-old woman stayed at the hotel from March 8, 2011 to March 5, 2012.

Hotel management told police the woman usually paid cash every month, but she fell behind on her payments throughout the months.

The woman allegedly left the hotel last month without notice and never checked out of the hotel.

Police said she left a note dated March 3, 2012 that she knew she had a $3,495 debt with the hotel and she would return to pay it someday.
