Driver’s Window Shot Out With BB Gun On Jefferson Avenue
A St. Clair Shores woman's window was shattered by BBs fired at her while she was driving on Jefferson Avenue.

Wednesday around midnight, a woman’s car window was shot out with a BB gun while she was driving on Jefferson Avenue in St. Clair Shores. The driver and her friends weren’t injured in the incident, but told Chanel 4/Click on Detroit she was shaken by the incident.
The woman was driving along Jefferson at the Grosse Pointe/St. Clair Shores border when her driver's side window shattered, showering her with broken glass. The driver told Channel 4 that when a first projectile struck the side of the car, and she initially thought that was a rock. Then another object struck, breaking the window.
St. Clair Shores police confirm the shots that broke the car window came from a BB gun. There have been similar incidents recently in Metro Detroit. On Feb. 19, several drivers using the Troy/Detroit corridor of I-75 reported having their vehicles struck with projectiles. Michigan State Police ruled out real bullets, but said via Twitter they were “leaning towards vandalism (Pellet Gun).”
