Got a Hankering for Country Music? Mosey Over to Veterans Memorial Park
Country music, line dancing, Richard Petty's championship race car and a mechanical bull are among the attractions at the first St. Clair Shores Country Music Festival.
The inaugural St. Clair Shores Country Music Festival comes to Veterans Memorial Park Friday and Saturday.Â
If you are putting on a 10-gallon hat and heading to the music festival, here are some facts about the event:
- The festival runs from 5 - 10 p.m. Friday and 2 - 10 p.m. Saturday.
- There will be music and entertainment for the family including a mechanical bull, petting zoo and pony rides on Saturday. There will also be inflatable playscapes
- Beer and wine will be available for adults.
- Horsecave Trio performs from 6 - 7:30 p.m.
- Joey Vee performs from 8:30 - 10 p.m.
- Outrageous Jams fills in between acts
- Little Z's and Mastro's will be selling food and ice cream
- The Motor City Horsemen giving horse rides and horse trick demonstration from 5 - 10 p.m. for $5
- A country attire contest
- Richard Petty's 1967 race car will be on displayÂ
- Horseshoes, bocce ball, beach volleyball
- An appearance by the Macomb County Sheriffs Mounted Division
- Admission is $2

- Taylor Tucky performs from 3 - 4:30 p.m.
- Richard Lawson/Southerners perform from 6 - 7:30 p.m.
- Orbitsuns perform 8:30 - 10 p.m.
- Outrageous Jams fills in between acts.
- Line dancing by Women of the Moose at 4:30 p.m.
- Hog Calling from 5 - 5:30 p.m.
- Chicken Shack, Little Z's, and Mastro's will be selling food and ice cream
- Spider-Man moonwalk, Bounce House, hamster ball and wet slide will be available all day
- Petting zoo and pony rides from 3 - 7 p.m.Â
- Mechanical bull from 4 - 8 p.m.
- Richard Petty's 1967 race car will be on display
- Line dancing at 4:30 p.m.Â
- Horse shoes, bocce ball, beach volleyball
